Active and Resting calories can also be viewed via the Health app on your iPhone: On your iPhone, in the Health app, go to: Health Data (tab) > Activity > Active / Resting Energy. So I'm new to the Apple Watch (just bought the Watch 2, 42mm) and I got it mostly as a feature rich activity tracker (my Polar Loop finally hit the bed). I'm used to being able to view total calories burned throughout the day but the Activity app just shows Move calories (which happens to coincide with Active Energy on the Health app on my iPhone).
