The iPad 2 was released by Apple in 2011. It cannot run an iOS version greater than iOS 9.3.X. Microsoft Teams does run on iPads and is available in the App Store. However, both your iPad hardware and iOS version are too old to support it. From the App Store:

Hi - I use Microsoft Teams regularly (many times a day) to conduct business meetings. I very recently bought a pair of Apple Airpods (Pro) as my old plug-in headphones stopped working after several years of service. I run Teams on my Macbook Pro laptop. Unfortunately, I can't get the Airpods working with Teams.

I can confirm that this is still an issue and only happens when I am running Microsoft Teams on my Macbook Pro 13" (2019 version). It's extremely hot and loud for the duration of the call and only begins to slow down and somewhat cool off about 5 minutes after ending a Teams call. This does not happen with any of the other video chat applications.

Yes, just because an Apple product like Airpods is being used with a Microsoft PC shouldn't mean it's not supported. Airpods are used by tons of people at this point so Microsoft not supporting these within Teams is unacceptable...especially with the number of virtual meetings now taking place and the number of devices some of us switch between.
