Qr Code Apple Pay

Recently, I was trying to use my boarding pass, basically a QR code on my iPhone7 and every time I tried to check in, the phone defaulted to Apple Pay. There was no way to get around this. I also discovered that the Apple Pay is activated when around almost any near field reader, e.g. contactless cards for payment etc.

Apple Pay allows for payments made through the phone itself where you tap it on a terminal to register the payment. It can also be paid through the Apple Watch, and it can also be made over the internet. However, it seems that Apple is looking to expand on Apple Pay by allowing QR code payments.

The feature, when official, will allow users to scan a QR code or barcode using the camera, and perform a transaction using any of the Apple Pay compatible cards in their Wallet.
